Plan the destination before printing
Because the destination is encoded in the static QR image, it cannot be replaced inside an already printed code. Use a final, stable HTTPS URL and test access permissions before producing large quantities.
Keep public QR codes safe
- Do not place private, confidential, or sensitive information in a public destination.
- Clearly identify your organization or purpose near the QR code so users know what to expect.
- Review shared-file permissions and avoid links that require access users do not have.
- Test the printed code on several phones before publication.
